Claude for Power Users
You're the person your team asks when something isn't working. You pick up tools quickly, think in systems, and are already wondering what Claude can do beyond the basics covered in this library. That instinct is correct — there's more — but the highest-leverage move at this stage isn't unlocking advanced features for yourself. It's getting the rest of Empower to a baseline level of competency. More on that at the end.
Your Highest-Leverage Uses
Building shared prompt libraries. Take the patterns in the Prompt Library starter and adapt them for Empower's specific workflows, terminology, and clients. A prompt written once and shared with 10 people creates 10× the value. Store them in a shared Project everyone can access.
Exploring connectors. You're the right person to test connector setup before rolling out to others. Connect Gmail or Drive, run a few workflows, identify where it saves time and where it creates confusion. Write up a one-page internal guide. See Connectors intro.
Chaining prompts. Most of this library treats each prompt as a one-shot. Power users figure out you can chain: summarize a document → extract action items → draft the follow-up email — all in one conversation without starting over. Practice this. Document patterns that work.
Training teammates. The best use of your time is a 30-minute walkthrough with a skeptical colleague. Show them one task they do every week and demonstrate how Claude handles it. Converts faster than any written guide.
What's Next After This Library
Once Empower's team is consistent with the basics, there are more advanced paths:
- Skills — deeper customization of how Claude behaves for specific roles
- MCP servers and custom integrations — connecting Claude to internal tools in ways that go beyond standard connectors
- Agent workflows — having Claude handle multi-step tasks with minimal supervision
- Claude for Excel / Word / PowerPoint / Slack / Chrome — embedding Claude inside tools the team already uses
These paths exist and are worth exploring. They're a separate conversation once the foundation is solid. Don't front-run the rollout with advanced tooling before the basics are working.
The Trap to Avoid
Power users often end up doing everything themselves — building all the prompts, handling every edge case, becoming the team's de facto Claude support desk. Not scalable. Burns you out.
The goal is to raise the floor for everyone else, not just your own ceiling. Every hour you spend teaching a teammate to fish is worth more than the time you saved by fishing for them.
Build the shared resources, document what works, run training sessions, then let people use it independently. That's when adoption sticks.
One-Week Challenge
Teach one teammate one workflow this week. 30 minutes, one-on-one, one real task. Measure: can they repeat it solo a week later without asking you a question? If no, refine the walkthrough and try a different teammate.
